Exciting things happening!
Sun one day, and then some clouds. Our exhibition 1som/1het (lonely/unit) remains open during the rest of the summer. After her visit to our gallery the critic from the arts and craft magazine Kunsthåndverk wrote:
“… For even though all the senses are directed outwards, the insight arises inside us. And so the skin becomes a kind of glass between the “I ” and” the outside”. […] Maybe we sometimes simply just have to fragment our inner selves, to make it comprehensible. ” Come see for yourselves, amidst the clouds one day.
Æsa Björk is currently working in our studio and project room, preparing the site specific installation Embers for Passage @ the Byre, a group exhibition in northern Scotland organized by Bullseye Projects opening on the 4th of September.
We are also looking very much forward to another great week of Summer School now in August, with kids between 11 and 14, in a collaboration with KODE-Bergen, Foreningen Trykkeriet and Bergen Kunsthall. For possible reservations make your inquiries by following this LINK.
During the month of August we are also looking very much forward to a virtual residency with the very interesting ceramic and glass artist Liu Xi, preparing for her upcoming exhibition in our gallery in September.
