Beate Einen

“I am a trained glassblower and designer, and in 2007 I established Beate Einen Glass & Design. I blow most of my works myself, but I also collaborate with e.g. Mike Johansson. My work varies from utilitarian objects such as wine glasses and bowls to sculptural chandeliers and unique pieces. I am particularly interested in form/design and am inspired by the design language from the 50s-70s. My glass is sold at a number of galleries in Norway: Sogn og Fjordane Art Museum, Hole Design, Kunstindustrimuseet and Galleri Format in Oslo, Kraft in Bergen, Kunstindustrimuseet in Trondheim, and Nordnorske Kunstnersenter etc. I also actively participate in exhibitions at home and abroad.”

Beate Einen used her stay as an artist in residence to develop new works for an upcoming exhibition at the Sogn og Fjordane Art Museum in Førde, Norway.
