Beatrix Kricsfalussy

Beatrix Kricsfalussy is a glass artist of Hungarian heritage from Romania. She studied at Ion Andreescu University in Cluj-Napoca, where she completed both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Decorative Arts and Design.

Glass is her primary artistic medium, through which she creates works that bring together light, form, and structure in a poetic and experimental balance. Her practice explores the dual nature of glass—its fragility and its strength—as a starting point for investigating themes of identity, nature, and the human experience.

Today, Beatrix works both as a teacher and as an educator at S12, where she shares her passion for art and craft with new generations, inspiring creativity and making. Through her artistic practice, she invites viewers to experience the magic and complexity of glass and to reflect on how the material can convey both vulnerability and resilience through visual storytelling.

During her residency at S12, she is developing Chelon EVER SPIRIT, a glass door inspired by the shell of a turtle. The project combines the Tiffany technique, kiln fusing, printing, and slumping in an exploration of glass as both a functional and a sculptural material.

The residency is supported by the Alexander tutsek-stiftung.
