Judith Roux created an installation during her residency for the exhibition Young & Loving.
On the Way – De Syv Fjell
On the Way, is an ever changing landscape where nothing much seems to happen for the one rushing by, while the world unfolds for the one looking for it.
Sometimes accompanied by sound in dialog with the glass, the timeframe of the piece is stretched; it invites the audience to move around and within the glass structures, and at the same time to slow down and spend time within the installation. Hard to capture in one glimpse, the entire installation changes with every step taken and every minute spent in the room. Because of this, added to the tension within the material allowing it to stand and the inherent fragility of the glass, the viewers are led to become more aware of their movements and positions in space, and therefore of their relation to the environment.
