Philip Stokes and Scott Redding

In December Philip Stokes and Scott Redding  are the artists in residence in S12. Philip is a glass artist with over 30 years of experience in hot glass, casting, and installation, and holds a first-class honours degree in glassblowing from Monash University in Melbourne. Having worked side by side for two decades, Philip and Scott have built a shared practice that blends technical mastery, creative energy, and a deep commitment to the glass community. 

During their residency they have been working on the project Play With Me  which will result in their first joint exhibition at S12 in summer 2026. Drawing on memories of childhood play, the duo creates an immersive glass landscape that references the toys and objects that shaped their early imaginations. Through re-envisioned forms and dreamlike arrangements, the exhibition reflects on nostalgia, creativity, and the enduring role of play in our lives.
