MADE BY ME

Graduation exhibition of the Danish School of Design, Bornholm

MADE BY ME is a traveling exhibition touring Scandinavia, last autumn it visited Galleri Format in Oslo, and is now arriving at S12 in Bergen.

As the only artist-run gallery and workshop in Norway specializing in glass art, S12 considers it of great importance to convey the development within the field of glass art amongst recent graduates educated abroad. This holds particular importance as no art school in Norway provides education with glass as material, and makes for a rare opportunity to showcase the next generation of glass artists making their mark in Scandinavia. For a long time Norwegian students have been applying for Danish and Swedish schools, and hopefully S12 can be a part of nurturing and taking care of the recently graduated forces, so that they can prosper and develop in Norway.

It is therefore our great pleasure to present the fresh glass artists from Bornholm. Artists are: Sara Lundkvist, Mette Paalgard, Kajsa Cecilia Backstrøm, Kateriin Rikken, Terese William Waenerlund, Nina Johanna Christensen, Hans Peter Kirkegaard, Damien Francois, Tillie Burden and Rasmus Sallingboe.
