AiR SALONG – Exhibition and Auction

The exhibition Salong presents works created at S12 by former artists in residence – artists from all over the world who have experimented with glass in unusual and innovative ways during their residencies with us.

Here you will find works by Ito Laila Le Francois, Kit Paulson, CUD (John Drury & Robbie Miller), Julia Chamberlain, Emma Baker, Morgan Madison, Alison Lowry, Mike Simi, Tone Linghult, Carissa Baktay, Bianca Nabuco, Timothy Belliveau, Kirsti Taiviola, Maria Konschake, Jeffrey Sarmiento, Cate Clements, Ngaio Fitzpatrick, Anne Petters, Tuva Gonsholt, Beate Einen, Alexandra Muresan, Margarida Alves, Ben Wright, Brad Turner (kjent fra Netflix-serien Blown Away sesong 2) og Justin Ginsberg.

All the works on display have been donated to S12 as part of our Artist in Residence program (AiR i S12). This is a unique arrangement where artists from around the world can apply for a stay in our workshop to explore and experiment freely. The residency is free of charge for the artists, in exchange for donating a work to the gallery.

During Night of the Arts on September 12, many of these works will be auctioned off. The proceeds will go towards continuing the AiR program – an important initiative that has contributed to artistic breakthroughs and the development of the glass field both nationally and internationally.

This is a rare opportunity to acquire original art by internationally recognized artists, while also supporting further experimentation, exploration, and artistic development at S12.
