Local AiR 2026
S12 invites Norway-based glass artists to apply for a focused, two-week residency running 8th–22nd of June 2026. This is intended for artists who already work with glass and want concentrated time in the workshop to develop or test an idea, extend their materials research, or explore a new direction in their practice. The residency is for artistic development only, not for production or commission work.
What We Offer
Residents have full access to S12’s hot and cold glass facilities, including use of the furnace, kilns, cold shop and other equipment (see full list on our website). Workshop use is free, and S12 provides basic materials, including clear furnace glass. Artists cover additional materials such as colour, casting glass, fusing glass or float glass.
Workshop assistance is offered where it supports the needs of your proposed project.
Free accommodation is provided for the full residency period. Residents will also have the opportunity to share their work through a small open-house event or informal artist talk during their stay.
A short planning meeting will be arranged in advance to confirm technical needs and scheduling.
