AiR i S12

S12  Gallery and Workshop, Bergen, Norway, is currently welcoming applications for a 2 weeks residency during November 2025.  

Who can apply

This residency will be dedicated to professional glassblowers coming from outside of Norway.  

What we offer

S12 provides a fully equipped glass workshop with the possibility to work with both hot and cold glass processes. Project oriented work is preferred.

See full list of equipment here. The program offers some free workshop assistance, depending on the kind of work being made. Use of the workshop is free, and free accommodation is provided. 

The selected artists will have the opportunity to present their work during an open house event/artist talk. 

AiR i S12 has been supported by the City of Bergen from its beginning, and the running of the workshop has been made possible by the Norwegian Arts Council. 

How to Apply 

There is not a specific application form to apply for a residency, but we ask that you send 1 pdf to: proposal ( at ) s12 (dot) no, including:

• Your CV

• Photos of your work and/or links to websites where we can see your work

• A short written proposal describing the project you would like to work on during your stay at S12. Please include why you think a stay at S12 would benefit your project, and list the equipment you are most likely to use during your stay

• Information about the preferred period in November for your visit.
