S12 has moved in to a new home at Bontelabo 2. Come celebrate and join us for an evening with BOOM! Confetti, DJ and hot glass!
-What happens when women have the tools to develop and take advantage of technology, like men have done through history? “There will be BOOM! Humor, color and fantasy.” (Harriet Aurell)
BOOM! is a female separatist group for artists working with glass, consisting of Nina Westman, Sara Lundkvist, Matilda Kästel, Erika Kristofersson Bredberg and Ammy Olofsson. In S12 they are premiering their new performance “ The Future is Female”, a piece based on BOOM!s approach to glass and their need to organize as separatists. They see a new future in glass, a future where the most appreciated within the tradition has no masculine value – a glassworld that is less macho. In this performance BOOM! will be descending into the future making glass in a new feminin way; heavy, sweaty and fun!
There will be an introduction to the history of Bontelabo, cutting of glass ribbon and light refreshments!
